Earlier today, Siliconera met with Aksys games and BlazBlue producer Toshimichi Mori. We talked about a bunch of topics and one of them was why Arc System Works skipped the Xbox 360 version of BlazBlue: Chronophantasma.

All of the other main BlazBlue titles are multiplatform games and since BlazBlue is developed on PC hardware first it can be ported to both systems without much of an issue. After asking the question to Arc System Works, the company’s president Minoru Kidooka, jokingly said it was an Aksys question. A representative from Aksys bounced me back to Arc System Works and said it was a question for them.

I pressed the question further and explained I understood while an Xbox 360 version might not be viable in Japan, in North America and Europe there are fighting game fans that enjoy playing on Xbox 360 with their friends on Xbox Live. Kidooka smiled and repeated again that’s a question for Aksys.

BlazBlue: Chronophantasma will be released in Q1 2014 for PlayStation 3. We’ll have more from our Arc System Works interview soon.
