Bishoujo Athena Asamiya Joins Other KOF Figures in June 2023

Kotobukiya offered new details about the next addition to its Bishoujo figures line, and it involves launch details for the KOF 98 Athena Asamiya statue. It will show up in Japan in June 2023. It will be 16,000円 (~$116). Big Bad Toy Store is showing it could have it in July 2023 and is charging $129.99 for it.

This figure will be just under 9 inches tall. Her image is based on the Shunya Yamashita design. She’s wearing her Kenpo-style outfit that also references her pop star look. Her hair is long for this look. The base is supposed to look like the deck of the China stage’s boat.

There were two other KOF Bishoujo figures before. Mai Shiranui showed up first. People can find her in storefronts worldwide now. There’s still some time before Terry Bogard appears. This is the version based on the character’s SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy appearance. It is expected to appear in April 2023 in Japan. The worldwide release will come sometime after that.

Kotobukiya’s Bishoujo KOF 98 Athena Asamiya figure will come to Japan in June 2023. It seems like it will appear in North America in July 2023.
