Birdie Wing Will Get a Switch Game in June

Bandai Namco’s original anime series Birdie Wing: Golf Girls’ Story will inspire a Nintendo Switch game. Set to release on June 15, 2023, the game will feature a story campaign covering the events of the anime, 1-4 person multiplayer, and motion-controlled golf swings. Web listings on Bandai Namco partner VIVERSE’s site also show a mobile game and a VR game are on their way.

Birdie Wing -Golf Girls’ Story- is a Bandai Namco original anime that originally debuted in Spring 2022. The story follows a scrappy rogue named Eve as she uses her unique golfing style to win money in illegal, underground golf games. When she meets high-class golf champion Aoi Amawashi, the two form an intense rivalry that entangles them in criminal dealings, corporate intrigue and improbable, train-involved trick shots. A second season is set to begin airing on Friday, April 7, 2023.

This game appears to be part of Bandai Namco Pictures’s partnership with HTC Viveport, which was first announced back in 2021. The two companies partnered to bring anime-themed experiences to their VR platform VIVERSE. They currently host a vitrual theme park inspired by Bandai Namco properties and a Birdie Wing metaverse museum.

Birdie Wing -Golf Girls’ Story- game will release on the Nintendo Switch on June 15, 2023. The first season is available to stream on Crunchyroll. The second season will also be available on Crunchyroll when it begins airing on Friday, April 7, 2023.
