Yesterday, Konami released Beyblade: Metal Masters for the Nintendo DS in America. There are four variants of the game available, with a different real-life Beyblade top included with each one, depending on where you buy it from. Here’s the rundown of what you get where:

Regular DS bundle                                     Best Buy bundle

Target bundle                                    Toys R Us bundle

As for just what Beyblade: Metal Masters is, some of our readers may be aware that Hudson were developing a bunch of Beyblade games at one point. Beyblade: Metal Fusion games developed by them were released last year on the Nintendo DS and Wii.

Beyblade: Metal Masters is a localized version of the game titled Metal Fight Beyblade: Choujou Kessen! Big Bang Bladers in Japan. It lets you play as 37 characters from the first and second seasons of the Metal Fusion anime. You take part in arena battles with customizable tops in either single player or multiplayer.

The Japanese version of the game had another interesting feature in it. You could input codes found on Beyblade toy tops to unlock their parts in the game. We aren’t sure if this feature carried over to the U.S. version.

Here’s a closer look at the game with footage from the Japanese version.
