Bethesda’s Teasing an Indiana Jones Game (Update)

A new Indiana Jones game is finally in development. Bethesda took to Twitter on January 12, 2021 to generate hype for a new project. It shared a brief video, one not even 30 seconds long, suggesting that it and MachineGames are working on a new title. In a follow-up tweet, it named Todd Howard as the game’s Executive Producer and said it will be an original adventure.

Here’s Bethesda’s full tease hinting at an Indiana Jones project. There’s the iconic music, his hat, and the whip shown in the brief video.

The most recent Indiana Jones games were ones in the Lego series. Both Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures and Lego Indiana Jones: The Adventure Continues appeared in 2008 and 2009 on multiple platforms. Each one offered a more comedic and brick-like retelling of the events of the movies. However, there have been a few mobile spin-offs from companies like Zynga.

As for MachineGames, people might have heard its name a lot recently. The company has been involved with developing a number of Wolfenstein titles as of late. Most recently, it worked on ones like Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, and even helped with Wolfenstein: Youngblood.

A new Indiana Jones game is in development for as-yet-unnamed platforms.
