Despite V Rising being an online-only survival game akin to an MMO but not quite on that level, it has mods players can use. In fact, since the game has been in early access for a couple of years now, there are a few V Rising mods for players to use upon the 1.0 release. Here are a few of our favorites.
Best V Rising Nexus Mods You Should Download Right Now
Ore Visual Changes
One of the oddest choices in this game is how the stones look compared to rocks that have ores inside of them. They look almost identical, even for someone with solid vision. So, this welcome mod by WhiteCortex makes the rocks with ores more distinct so players can immediately know which one to farm materials from. I recommend this for just about everyone.
Guardian 2
What this particular mod from Arwent does is give the owner of an online server more control over who joins them. It basically gives you this whitelist, where you can choose to allow certain players to join your dedicated server. This is great for essentially making a private server for friends but in a simpler way.
Harpy’s Blue HUD Reskin
If you don’t like the somewhat bland and uninspiring nature of the HUD and menus in this game, this mod by Harpy Enjoyer changes all that. It gives the HUD a neat blue vibe, which matches the aesthetic of the game well. This blue also clashes quite well with the red vampirical parts. However, I will say wait a bit for this mod if you play with a controller since it likely hasn’t been updated for the new controller UI yet.
Invisible Cloaks
Cloaks are a crucial part of the equipment that a vampire has access to in V Rising. While I think the cloaks generally look pretty fantastic from a design perspective, there are some players who might not want a cloak flailing around behind them nonstop. If this is you, this mod by StampDD turns cloaks invisible without rendering their stats useless.
V Rising is now available for PC in its 1.0 release. It will also come out for PS5 later in 2024.
