Many of the best Personas come from maxing out social links. Social links give you the highest-level ultimate Persona for that Arcana, which is often the best for its group. Some of the notable social link Personas are the following:

  • Orpheus Telos: The ultimate version of Orpheus you can get for maxing out all social links.
  • Thanatos: Max out Death social link (automatic). Then fuse together Pisaca, Mot, Alice, Samael, Loa, and Pale Rider.
  • Messiah: Max out Death and Judgement social links (automatic). Then, fuse together Orpheus and Thanatos.
  • Alilat: Empress social link (Mitsuru). Master of the four major elemental skill types.
  • Cybele: Lovers social link (Yukari). One of the best healer Personas in the game.

Best Personas anyone can Fuse

I get that some players may not be deep enough into the game to be able to max out those social links above. In that case, here are some of the best Personas you can fuse together without needing to max out a social link, along with recipes for each of them:

  • Raphael: Level 60. Fuse Koumokuten and Kurama Tengu together to make. Great at both healing and offensive elemental skills.
  • Hecatoncheires: Level 47. Fuse Lachesis and Sarasvati. Impressive resistance and survival skills.
  • Mitra: Great option for my early players at level 22. Fuse Chimera and Rakshasa or Archangel and Gurulu. Decent ice and light coverage, plus two excellent immunities and some healing capabilities.

Best DLC Personas

Now, this final group of the best Personas in Persona 3 Reload is completely optional, so don’t feel pressured, but if you want to break your game as soon as you start it, buy some DLC. You don’t need this, but it makes the game a breeze. Here are three of my favorite DLC Personas, which you can summon for free in the Compendium:

  • Satanael: The quintessential DLC Persona. It will destroy just about everyone and has great coverage for Almighty, plus some of the strongest resistances in the game.
  • Mercurius: One of the best healer Personas in the game.
  • Magatsu-Izanagi: Solid Persona 4 DLC Persona with access to Maziodyne and Megidola.

Persona 3 Reload is available now for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
