Best New Shonen Winter 2025 Anime

The Winter 2025 anime season is here, which means new anime across the board for all types of series and anime fans. For those anime fans that prefer shonen series, there is a plethora of new series to check out. Some of these are brand new shows, while others are new seasons of existing series. Regardless, these are the best shonen Winter 2025 anime that appeal to this particular demographic.

Sakamoto Days

In terms of brand new shows, this is my most anticipated series of this season. The story follows a retired hitman who runs a cute little convenience store, but has the underworld eventually come after him to take him out. The older protagonist then has to do everything in his power to protect his new life and his family.

It reminds me a bit of the criminally underrated My Home Hero, but far less serious. It is actually quite charming in its animation and goofy style, which helps keep the otherwise serious subject matter a bit lighter.

Dr. Stone Science Future

The final season of Dr. Stone is upon us. When this show is all said and done, it will likely go down as one of my favorite anime series of all time. The story of Senku and his journey to revive the whole world from a worldwide petrification event will get back to the core story and mystery. Even if you never watched the previous seasons, now is the time to catch up and see how the tale ends.

Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun Season 2

This story about a ghost who teams up with an occult-loving student to get involved in all sorts of mayhem around the school. The relationship between the two lead characters is fantastic and this is by far one of the funniest series you will find during this Winter 2025 season. Don’t let it fool you, though, as there is a lot of charm in the supernatural storyline as well, which should get even better in Season 2.

Blue Exorcist: The Blue Night Saga

After all these years, Blue Exorcist is finally starting to catch up with the source manga material. The Blue Night Saga is one of the longest and best story arcs in the ongoing series about the twins who fight back against their devilish parentage. The early episodes of this latest season have stunning animation that looks fitting for the modern anime era.
