It can be difficult to keep up with when various anime and game figures release, due to changing launch windows and pre-order delays. Rebuild of Evangelion Rei Ayanami Red Rouge Figure
This anime figure has one of the best backstories. Back in 2021, there was a Kate Tokyo makeup crossover promotion with Rebuild of Evangelion, with Rei Ayanami as the “model” for the lipstick. This, in turn, lead to a 1/7 scale Good Smile Company figure of Rei in the outfit and wearing the makeup. That’s available now for $134.99.
Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 Shigeo Kageyama and Arataka Reigen Look Up Figures
MegaHouse’s Look Up figures tend to be really unique little items! They’re detailed, but they aren’t incredibly expensive. They are designed to sit on desks, so they can “look up” at you. Also, their heads can be moved, letting you customize the display a bit. In May 2024, Entertainment Earth started carrying the Shigeo Kageyama and Arataka Reigen Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 versions of these figures as a set, with the special gift being a pair of cushions they can “sit” on. It costs $114.99 and is available now.
Fate/Grand Order Assassin/Koyanskaya of Light Final Ascension
There’s always going to be one extremely expensive figure to wish you could afford every month, and the Fate/Grand Order Assassin/Koyanskaya of Light Final Ascension one from Good Smile Company and Freeing is basically it. She’s exceptionally cute, thanks to her pink pigtails and bunny ears. She also has real fishnet tights. She’s a 1/4 scale figure too, which means she sits at a huge almost 14 inches tall. However, she’ll also cost you $609.99.
Playmobil Naruto Sasuke vs. Itachi Set
Did you know there is a whole line of Playmobil Naruto toys now? I didn’t! I would have loved this as a kid! I adored these! In addition to being able to pick up single figures, there are also playsets. One of them is the new Sasuke vs Itachi one, which gives you the two brothers and accessories for $29.99. It’s not a traditional anime or game figure set, but it gets points and is one of the best options in May 2024 due to being so unusual.
One Piece Chopper Tamagotchi Nano
This isn’t a figure, but it is a very cool item I highly recommend. It’s one of the more stripped-down Tamagotchi experience. Depending on how well you care for Tony Tony Chopper, you’ll see him change forms and wear different outfits. It costs $24.99.
