Best Lingsha Build in Honkai: Star Rail Doesn’t Skimp on Break Effect

Lingsha in Honkai: Star Rail is a 5-star Fire Abundance character, and it can be a little complicated when working out her best build for your needs. You’ll need to balance several stats between her Light Cones and Relics, as well as think in advance what teams or characters you’ll likely run her with.

For starters, Lingsha is a character who specifically needs three things: Break Effect, SPD, and ATK. On paper, Lingsha scales off ATK. However, her Bonus Ability Trace, Vermilion Waft, increases her ATK and Outgoing Healing based off her Break Effect. You should really prioritize her Break Effect to take advantage of this bonus. As well, Lingsha lacks a panic button heal (in other words, her Ultimate is not a heal in the same way that Bailu’s or Natasha’s are) so if you’re worried about her performance as a sustain, you’ll want to give her plenty of SPD.

When you’re putting Light Cones or Relics on your Lingsha build, you should aim for: 2500-2800 ATK, 200-250% Break Effect, and minimum 134 SPD. Of course, if you want to run her with Talia, you’ll need 145. Keep in mind that you can also take characters like Ruan Mei into consideration when looking at these numbers, since Lingsha won’t be alone on the field.

Here are the best Light Cones for a Lingsha build in Honkai: Star Rail

  • Scent Alone Stays True
As you can imagine, Lingsha’s signature Light Cone is her best one. At S0, it gives a whopping 60% Break Effect boost, as well as debuffs the enemies after she uses her Ultimate. The debuff—Woefree—makes them take more damage and this effect is amplified if Lingsha has over 150% Break Effect. Ideally, she should.
  • Echoes of the Coffin
Lingsha’s heals scale off her ATK so Echoes of the Coffin (Luocha’s signature) is a good one for her as well. It increases her ATK, as well as regenerates energy for every different target she hits with an attack. Since Lingsha has an AoE Skill and Ultimate, this is super useful. Finally, she can bestow a SPD boost onto her allies after she uses her Ultimate, making her even more helpful.
  • Night of Fright
Lingsha’s Ultimate is one of the most important parts of her kit due to the Break Effect increase, so Night of Fright’s Energy Regeneration Rate bonus is really nice. She can also heal her ally with the lowest HP percentage every time someone uses an Ultimate. Granted, there are certain limitations in place.
  • Shared Feeling
Shared Feeling increases Lingsha’s Outgoing Healing. As well, it regenerates Energy whenever she uses her Skill.
  • What Is Real?
Considering she and Gallagher have so many similarities in kits, it’s no surprise that the Gallagher Light Cone is good for her. It increases her Break Effect (24% at S0) and restores HP to her after she uses a Basic Attack. Since you probably won’t be using her Skill all the time, this is a nice way to keep Lingsha topped off.

  • 4-pc Iron Cavalry Against the Scourge
Iron Cavalry is the best Relic Set for Lingsha, especially if you plan on running her with Harmony Trailblazer (for the Super Break). It increases her Break Effect and depending on how much Break Effect she has, she can deal more damage. 150% Break Effect lets her ignore 10% of the enemy’s DEF. Meanwhile, at 250% or higher, she can ignore even more DEF with Super Break. This does mean that you’ll need to give her at least 250% Break Effect though.
  • 2-pc Iron Cavalry Against the Scourge, 2-pc Messenger Traversing Hackerspace
If you don’t have enough pieces or don’t plan on treating Lingsha as a sub-attacker, then you can combine Iron Cavalry with Messenger. Iron Cavalry provides the Break Effect she needs, and the Messenger 2-piece set provides her the SPD that she really wants. The more SPD she has, the more turns she can get, which help with both healing and Energy Regeneration.
  • 4-pc Thief of Shooting Meteor
If you aren’t able to collect enough good Iron Cavalry Relics, my condolences to you and I’m in the same boat. Until then, you can substitute them with pieces from the Thief Set. For those who only want Break Effect and don’t care about anything else, you can consider a 2-pc Thief Set with a 2-pc of Watchmaker or Iron Cavalry.
  • Forge of the Kalpagni Lantern
Forge of the Kalpagni Lantern is the best Planar Ornament Set for Lingsha and if you run her with Firefly, you can always get its secondary effect. It increases Lingsha’s SPD and increases her Break Effect by 40% whenever she hits someone with a Fire Weakness.
  • Talia: Kingdom of Banditry
Talia is the de facto Planar Ornament Set for Break Effect characters. It increases her Break Effect by 16% and then by an extra 20% if she has over 145 SPD. So keep in mind that’s the SPD threshold you have to hit.

Honkai: Star Rail is readily available on the PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices. You can only pull for Lingsha in Honkai: Star Rail when the “Let Scent Sink In” banner is active.
