Best Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom Dungeons Rifts Order

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is something of an open-ended and open world game in some ways, as there are points when you can decide the order to approach the Still World rift dungeons. While you can do them in any way you’d like, I found going in a certain order is better than others.

What is the best order in which to tackle The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom dungeons in major rifts?

In some cases, you don’t get any choice about the order. When you start The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, you must complete the Suthorn Forest rift first. That’s basically the tutorial dungeon in the game. You can’t advance out of the area without finishing it.

Once you finish the Suthorn Forest rift, two more open up These are the the Gerudo Desert and Jabul Waters ones. In my opinion, the best order in which to tackle these two The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom rift dungeons is to go to Jabul, then Gerudo. This is because you gain access to the Bombfish if you head to this area. That’s an incredibly practical echo that can be used to blast holes in cracked walls and such before you gain access to the Swordfighter form’s bombs. It’s viable for the entire game, and going to help the Zora gets you access to it ASAP.

Here’s where you should go on the map for both.

After that, you don’t get a choice again. You need to return to Hyrule Castle. You’re directed here after completing Gerudo and Jabul, and you must finish the campaign quest tied to the rift there to proceed and cause more rifts to open up.

From there, you get three choices. You can head to the Eldin Volcano, Hebra Mountain, and Faron Wetlands dungeons in rifts in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, and there is definitely a best order to follow here. You need to tackle Eldin Volcano first. This is because there will be necessary fire-element monsters you will need for both Hebra Mountain and Faron Wetlands there. It is incredibly difficult to survive the cold damage and ice enemies at Hebra without them, and the rampant spider webs and water in in Faron Wetlands is better handled with Eldin’s fire and Hebra’s ice. So in this situation, I recommend handling Eldin Volcano first, Hebra Mountain second, and Faron Wetlands third.

Finally, after that, there’s no choice again. The last place you’ll go is the Eternal Forest. It’s the setting for the final battle, so you need to go there at the very end.

For a final list to make it easier, here’s the best order for tackling The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom dungeons and rifts.

  1. Suthorn Forest
  2. Jabul Waters
  3. Gerudo Desert
  4. Hyrule Castle
  5. Eldin Volcano
  6. Hebra Mountain
  7. Faron Wetlands
  8. Eternal Forest
