As an Abundance character in Honkai: Star Rail, Huohuo is perhaps one of the easiest and best characters to place on teams. Unlike certain characters who can only reach their max potential in a specific composition, you can put Huohuo with anyone and she’ll still greatly benefit your team.

Here are some of the best Huohuo teams to try in Honkai: Star Rail

Huohuo’s kit heals and cleanses characters through her Skill and Talent. Meanwhile, her Ultimate increases Energy Regeneration and boosts ATK. All of these are things that you can run with practically any character, since they all need either ER or ATK. Since Huohuo should have fairly high Max HP, her natural DEF isn’t fantastic. So if you find yourself struggling, especially in more difficult stages of the game, you can try running her with a Preservation.

• Blade | Bronya | Silver Wolf | Huohuo
  With the addition of a Wind Abundance, you can now run a proper Mono-Wind team without worrying about survivability. If you’re facing an enemy with a Wind weakness and you don’t want to use Silver Wolf, you can replace her with another Nihility or an additional Harmony character. Since Huohuo’s Heal is a Blast rather than a single target one, you might want to keep Blade in the corner so you can’t accidentally heal him too much.

• Dan Heng | Asta | Trailblazer (Fire) | Huohuo
  This is a F2P team for people who might not have certain characters. Since both Dan Heng and Asta are on the squishy side, Huohuo (who is kind of squishy herself) might not be fast enough with her heals. Her Ultimate being a buff rather than a panic switch like Natasha or Lynx’s means you can’t save characters in time if they take too hard a hit before Huohuo can get a turn. So someone like either March or Trailblazer (Fire) will help.

• Kafka | Sampo | Tingyun | Huohuo
  You can replace Sampo with any other DoT-focused character in this game, such as Guinaifen or Serval. Huohuo herself can technically speaking inflict Wind Shear due to her Wind element, but she should just focus on healing. She can also help Tingyun to increase DoT damage with her Ultimate, since DoT scales off of ATK.

• Jingliu | Tingyun | Pela | Huohuo
  Like in the above team, Huohuo and Tingyun can work together in this team to not only buff Jingliu, but also to give her as much Energy Regeneration as possible. As a reminder, Huohuo provides a percentage of a character’s Energy Regeneration and Tingyun’s restores a flat 50. Jingliu wants to use her Ultimate as much as possible to let herself stay in Spectral Transmigration state, which is why she wants a lot of Energy Regeneration. Pela is mostly there to debuff enemies to help Jingliu deal more damage.

• DPS | Harmony | Nihility | Huohuo
  As mentioned earlier, you can mix and match any team with Huohuo, and she’ll be able to do a good job. You can take out either the Harmony or the Nihility to run a Preservation if you’re unsure about your party’s survivability.
