Best Core Keeper Mods Worth Installing

Core Keeper makes installing mods so much easier than ever before with 1.0. You just need to go into the mods library in the actual game itself and find safe mods to use in your worlds. Since this game was in early access for some time, there are quite a few mods already available. Here are our picks for the best Core Keeper mods.

Best Core Keeper Mods: Enemy Health Bars

One of the more frustrating parts, at least for me, is how you aren’t able to see how much HP an enemy has. You just have to guess or memorize how many hits it takes to eliminate a foe. But this mod fixes that and adds health bars to enemies, plus other players, your cattle, and more. Great for taking the guessing work out of fights.

Auto Door

There aren’t a ton of mods available just yet through the game itself in 1.0, but one of the more understated ones is Auto Door. This particular mod lets the player run through doors automatically once you touch them. This may seem like a pretty odd mod since it takes a single button press to open a door. However, if you have a lot of buildings or are running away from mobs, that automatic door feature will be a life (and time) saver.

Auto Fish

The fishing minigame in Core Keeper is pretty fun. But I am, admittedly, a little biased since I love fishing in games. If you aren’t like me, though, or just need to save time with your fish grind, this is the mod for you. Auto Fish does exactly what it says: takes the minigame out so you just get your fish and be done with it.

Infinite Ore Boulder

This particular mod isn’t for everyone, especially if you don’t want to break the game’s meta. But if you need some grind help, the Infinite Ore Boulder makes it so ore locations never break. These spots infinitely give you various ores so you can jut stand in one location and endlessly get valuable ore for crafting and building without having to go looking for the next ore to mine.

Core Keeper 1.0 is now available for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It will also release for Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One on September 17, 2024.
