World of Warcraft Classic is back with more new Realms for players to join. Whether you pick the Horde or Alliance, depending on your race, there are some of the nine classes that are inherently better than others. Here are the best classes you should consider playing in the World of Warcraft Classic refresh.
Best Classes to Play for Horde Players
As you may know, the classes you have available to you will, ultimately, depend on the race you play as and, in a couple of cases, the faction you have. I always recommend players go with their gut and pick the class they prefer, but if you need a guiding hand, there are some classes that are generally better than others.
If you are playing on the Horde side, your exclusive class is Shaman. This is a decent class but not one I would wholly recommend on your first character. Instead, if you are looking for a tank class, in particular, I suggest Warrior. It is better served as DPS but can be a solid off-tank. For DPS, Warrior or Mage is your best bet. And then for a healer, I always recommend Priest, as it is the best in this category.
Best World of Warcraft Classic Refresh Classes for Alliance
For those of you who prefer to play on the Alliance side, these are the best classes you should pick for the World of Warcraft Classic 20th Anniversary refresh. Your exclusive class is the Paladin. I’d argue, like Shaman, it is pretty meh in the overall grand scheme. But it has more flexibility overall so there is that.
Like the Horde side, Warrior, Mage, and Priest are going to be your best bets. Another class I’d like to mention is Warlock. This is my personal go-to class for this vanilla experience. It puts out some impressive ranged DPS like the Mage but with a much neater aesthetic. You also can’t go wrong with the Rogue since its stealth is great for newcomers.
World of Warcraft Classic is available right now for PC. There are new 20th Anniversary Realms to join starting on November 21, 2024.
