Beautiful rumor: Beautiful Katamari

Orange Lounge Radio who has a respectable track record (they nailed Konami’s 2006 lineup) for reporting rumors, discovered “Beautiful Katamari” on a video game distribution list. A Playstation 3 version with Sixaxis control and an Xbox 360 release is scheduled to come out on October 17 for $39.99. A month later on November 14 a Wii version will retail for $29.99. While this isn’t a crystal clear confirmation of the return of Katamari, it’s too promising not to discuss. Also when has Namco Bandai ever abandoned a popular franchise that they own?
