The version of Impa that will be playable in Hyrule Warriors is how she appeared before the events of Breath of the Wild. You can probably notice that she looks significantly younger this time around. The broadcast included a look at gameplay, showcasing Impa’s skillset. She can utilize talismans for long range attacks and ninjutsu. Her flashiest skill involves making blue colored clones of herself during combat to assist in taking down enemies.

You can watch Impa in action in the video below. Her gameplay segment begins at 1:36:06.

The broadcast above also contains a look at more gameplay involving Link.

Other playable characters in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, outside of Impa, include Zelda, Link, Daruk, Mipha, Revali, and Urbosa. Hyrule Warriors serves as a prequel to Breath of the Wild. This entry is set one hundred years before the events of Breath of the Wild, taking place just before the rise of Calamity Ganon.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity will be available for Nintendo Switch on November 20, 2020. Pre-orders are now open.
