Warner Bros. Japan announced Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League, a anime sequel to the 2018 animated movie that involved Batman characters like Robin and the Joker being transported to feudal Japan. More information is expected to be announced during an event at Anime Expo on June 4, 2024.
Details on the plot are currently thin, including whether the titular Yakuza League will be a feudal Japanese take on the Justice (or Injustice) League or another entity entirely. Director Junpei Mizusaki returns alongside writer Kazuki Nakashima, and Batman himself will again be voiced by Koichi Yamadera. More details about the Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League movie are to be announced at a stage event at Anime Expo in Los Angeles at 2pm PST/5pm ET on June 4, 2024, which will also include information on the upcoming Suicide Squad Isekai anime series.
Back in March 2024, it was announced that the Suicide Squad Isekai theme would be performed by Hololive Vtuber Calliope Mori. Before that, Warner Bros. Japan released a trailer that focused on the characters of the Joker and Harley Quinn.
Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League is in development, with more information to be revealed at Anime Expo on June 4, 2024, and the official website for the project is live.
