A strategic-RPG that’s been out for a while in Simplified and Traditional Chinese has its worldwide release date! On February 14, 2020, the Banner of the Maid English version will make its debut. The reveal came via the game’s Steam page, though Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 versions were also announced back in April 2018.

In Banner of the Maid, people go through an isometic, turn-based tactical game with Pauline Bonaparte, the little sister of Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte. (Well, except he isn’t the emperor yet.) She’s heading home after graduating from an elite military academy when the French Revolution begins.

As you might expect, Pauline finds herself stuck in the middle and joining the fight. Along the way, she’ll end up encountering actual people, like Joachim Murat, as well as fictitious characters like Les Miserables’ Cosette Valjean. As you play, you’ll need to help build up commander characters, like Pauline, and make the soldiers in their armies, like Grenadiers, promote into stronger units. In addition, the things you do while righting in the French Revolution could determine which groups and organizations do and don’t approve of you.

Banner of the Maid is immediately available on PCs in Chinese. Its English version will launch on February 14, 2020.
