Bandai Will Release Usada Pekora Tamagotchi

Bandai announced a new item involving Hololive VTuber Usada Pekora as part of the Human Rabbitality Project. One of the goods it will release is the Pekoracchi, which is an Usada Pekora Tamagotchi will allow you to take care of and raise a version of the character. Pre-orders are open until August 6, 2023, and it’ll come out some time in December 2023. [Thanks, Hobby Watch!]

Pekora announced this news during her 24-hour stream that took place on July 16, 2023. During the stream, Bandai presented several kinds of merchandise, such as a transformation belt. Not all of the items became reality. However, aside from the Tamagotchi, you can also get a nui plush of Pekora, as well as a jelly candy. The jelly candy is called “Usada Extract,” and it’s “supposedly” capable of turning you into a rabbit. How effective it is varies on the person.

If you get the nui and Tamagotchi set, it costs 5,500 JPY ($39.60). You can also make the nui hold onto the Tamagotchi when you’re not playing with it. Like most Tamagotchi toys, there are mini-games that you can play. For example, you can shoot out carrots or dodge carrots falling from the sky. As for the jelly, it will come with a random sticker of a Hololive member. It costs 3,960 JPY ($28.50) for a sticker and two vials of the Usada Extract.

The Usada Pekora Human Rabbitality Project merchandise on Premium Bandai are available to pre-order until August 6, 2023. The Usada Pekora Tamagotchi will appear in December 2023.
