There are big changes for Dragon Ball FighterZ characters Broly (DBS), Gogeta (SSGSS), Goku (GT), Janemba, and Kefla, and there’s a video going over what they are like in-game. This highlights their 1.38 changes in action. The full patch notes for the Dragon Ball FighterZ update are 12 pages long, with Bandai Namco releasing them as a pdf file for people to peruse.
All of the 1.38 Dragon Ball FighterZ patch changes tend to be character adjustments involving rebalancing or changes to how moves work. There are 11 changes to Broly, for example. 13 of Gogeta’s moves were adjusted, with the most influential changes being made to his Standing Heavy Attack. There are 10 changes to both Janemba and Kefla moves. There are only nine changes to the GT version of Goku in Dragon Ball FighterZ, but the Reverse Kamehameha alterations that make it a jumping attack and keep armor from blocking anti-air are especially notable.
Here’s the full Dragon Ball FighterZ patch footage, which starts with Goku (GT), moves on to Janemba, goes to Gogeta (SSGSS), shows Broly (DBS), and ends with Kefla.
Even with its age, Dragon Ball FighterZ tends to get regular updates. For example, rollback was added to it. PS5 and Xbox Series X versions also launched in February 2024.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is available on the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
