When asked about his future plans in developing new games after wrapping up development on Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections, Producer Hotaka Sudo said the following about future Naruto games:

For Naruto, I don’t know if we will try to create a game in a different genre, or if we will use a different game engine, but I would like to start planning (the next title) as something brand new. The story of Naruto has been completed, but it would be nice if we could reboot it.

Sudo also mentioned the Harry Potter franchise as an example of a completed series that experienced an increase in popularity through spin-off movies, like the Fantastic Beasts series, and the recent Hogwart’s Legacy game.

Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections is now available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC.
