Ahead of the 1.0 release of Baldur’s Gate 3 on PC, Larian Studios recommended players delete all their Early Access save files. Furthermore, removing any mods and making sure they don’t re-download is also recommended. This is to help avoid any complications for the 1.0 release of the game. Larian Studios will share more information regarding the Early Access save files and mods before the game launches on August 3, 2023.
Additionally, the developers recommended fully uninstalling the game after deleting the Early Access save files. Doing this will reduce the possibility of file conflicts once the 1.0 version of the game starts downloading. It should also mean a reduced chance of needing to troubleshoot.
Larian Studios will provide a full guide to complete this process before the game launches on August 3, 2023.
