Koei Tecmo’s upcoming Omega Force action game Attack on Titan 2 will have improved multiplayer elements that offer both co-op and competitive modes. Here’s a new trailer that highlights the multiplayer modes.

Story Mode Co-op allows you to cooperate with another player. The players can help each other by reviving the defeated partner. Scout Missions Co-op can be played with up to four players, with various missions available to take on.

Annihilation Mode has up to four players per team for 4v4 action. The team that gets the highest score from defeating Titans wins. Teams can score more with a Chain Bonus for defeating Titans and can receive higher scores with the more Titans they defeat. This mode also allows you to use items such as Numbing Bullet and Paint Bullets that can halt the enemy in their tracks. Any points earned in the last minute are doubled, so things will always be more hectic at the end.

All the features mentioned above are available for online play, but the Nintendo Switch version has additional local play support, where up to 8 players can connect their consoles and play together.

Lastly, the video teases a “shcoking new mode” that will be added post-launch. More details on that will be revealed later. You can check out its latest English trailer that focuses on the game’s “Town Life” in our previous report.

Attack on Titan 2 releases in Japan on March 15, 2018 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game releases in North America and Europe on March 20 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
