When it launches, the PlayStation Vita will be available in two models — 3G (capable of both 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity) and Wi-Fi-only. For the Vita’s 3G service, Sony have partnered with AT&T in the U.S.

Similar to 3G limitations on other devices like the iPhone, AT&T will be placing a 20MB file size download restriction on the Vita’s 3G downloads. What this means is that you’ll only be able to download files of 20MB in size (or lower) at a time over 3G.

This restriction doesn’t apply to the system’s Wi-Fi connectivity. Downloads over Wi-Fi can be of any size, which means you’ll be able to download full games over the PlayStation Network. Retail Vita games will come on 2GB and 4GB cartridges.
