Previously, new graduates at Atlus made 257,000 JPY ($1708.35) a month. After the change, they will make 300,000 JPY ($1994.20). Existing employees will see a 15% increase in their average yearly salary. Due to increased interest in Atlus’s intellectual properties overseas, Atlus plans to focus more on its existing series and games. To attract more employees from around the world, it chose to make improvements to its human resources department.

Since its founding in 1986, Atlus has released a number of games and series that have become popular globally. Arguably, its most famous franchises are Shin Megami Tensei, along with its spin-offs such as Persona. The company’s mascot is even the demon, Jack Frost, which appears in both series.

Other games from Atlus include Etrian Odyssey, Trauma Center, and Catherine. As of April 2023, over 335 employees work full-time at the Japanese company. These salary changes will take effect at Atlus from April 2024.
