Another Shin Megami Tensei V has appeared. This time, it is coming from the official Japanese Twitter account for the series. After sharing the New Year’s image from the official Atlus Japan account, which essentially wished people a happy new year and to look forward to the next year, the Megaten account said people should anticipate more news about Shin Megami Tensei V. Given that it was shared along with a tweet suggesting people should look forward to what Atlus has to offer in 2020, it could mean that such reports could arrive in 2020.
Here is the tweet teasing a potential Shin Megami Tensei V announcement.

This tease comes after a confirmation in Famitsu that Shin Megami Tensei V is in development. The game was first revealed for the Nintendo Switch in October 2017. A month later, trailer was shared and an English website confirming a North American and European release opened.
After that, information on Shin Megami Tensei V became sporadic. We know development was in full swing in February 2018, and an update was issued not long after in August 2018. It was also mentioned at the 2019 Taipei Game Show.
