This week’s issue of Famitsu and Dengeki magazine confirms that Atelier Sophie is the next installment in the RPG series by Gust, and additional details from the magazines tell us more about the protagonist and game. [Thanks, Game Jouhou.]
The theme behind Atelier Sophie have the keywords of “alchemy” and “book”. The protagonist named Sophie Nohenmuller is a young alchemy-loving girl, who runs an atelier outside of town. She is voiced by Yuuka Aisaka and designed by NOCO.
Prafta is a young blong-haired book, who is said to be from a book that was in the atelier. Half of her memories seem to be missing. She’s designed by Yuugen and voiced by Yuka Iguchi.
“Doll-make” is considered a forbidden alchemy. Prafta, your partner, can be customized by alchemy-created material. There are things like cute costumes to armor with giant arms.
First-print copies of Atelier Sophie: Alchemist of the Mysterious Book will get a DLC code for the game, but there are no details on what it contains. The Premium Box edition for 9,800 yen on PS4 and PS3, and 8,800 yen for Vita includes the following:
- Atelier Sophie visual book
- Atelier Sophie sound archives
- B3-size poster
- Clear marker set of the characters
- A 5-set DLC for items that can be used in-game
Atelier Sophie: Alchemist of the Mysterious Book will release in Japan in September 25, 2015 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita.
