Gust recently announced Atelier Sophie: Alchemist of the Mysterious Book as the latest title in their RPG, and so far we’ve met Sophie and her partner Plachta. 4Gamer shares the latest on the game, with an introduction to two new friends.
Monika Ellmenreich (CV: Aya Suzaki):
Age: 17
Monika is Sophie’s best friend. She was born to a respectable family, and she’s talented in studies and swordsmanship, and is also a talented young lady in both the literary and military arts. She has a serious, respectful, and courteous personality.
Even though she might usually be the one scolding the new Atelier protagonist, she takes good care of her as a childhood friend of hers. Monika likes to sing and practices it in secret. She often visits Sophie’s house to eat sweets, but usually ends up doing some cleaning.
Oskar Behlmer (CV: Seiichiro Yamashita):
Age: 16
Oskar is another one of Sophie’s best friends, and he’s the son of a greengrocer. He has a carefree personality, and doesn’t really make a big deal out of the small things. He has a special ability that lets him hear the voices of plants, so he knows a lot about flowers and grass.
Oskar personally likes all-things-plants, and can get pretty passionate about them when the subject comes up; however, he’s a little lazy and is bad at sports. While he does have groundless confidence in himself, he gets bummed out whenever he gets denied.
Atelier Sophie: Alchemist of the Mysterious Book is slated for release in Japan on September 25, 2015 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita.
