Here’s the announcement tweet from the official Atelier account:

“Atelier Ryza has topped 500,000 in worldwide shipments‼️

This was also thanks to all of you who continue to support us.

We truly thank you all.

And Ryza’s adventure still continues with Atelier Ryza 2, so look forward to that as well.”

Back in March, Koei Tecmo revealed in its financial results that the number for Atelier Ryza was at 420,000 units in shipments and digital sales. That’s when it became the best-selling Atelier game after surpassing the previous best-seller in Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book which sat at 370,000 units.

Since it first launched in September 2019, Atelier Ryza has seen a number of DLC and updates. In the latest update, the “Very Easy Patch,” added a new Very Easy difficulty setting. While in Very Easy mode, some stronger enemies become easier to defeat and players receive more experience points and gold from battle.
