Atelier Firis Marks The Debut Of Chain Burst Attacks And Sub-Weapons

Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey adds new elements to the Atelier battle system we’ve grown accustomed to over the years. The characters in your party will be a bit more combat capable than usual, thanks to the addition of sub-weapons and a Chain Burst attack system.

Sub-weapons work the way you might expect. Each Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey character has a main weapon and two sub-weapons. These sub-weapons will have their own skill effects and specialties, allowing for more strategic options in a fight.

The Chain Burst attack system also requires strategic thinking. A Linkage Gauge is present in battle, and it will fill when players have Firis and her friends chain their attacks and abilities. Filling the Linkage Gauge triggers a Chain Burst. This allows all the characters to link moves and perform a finisher on the opponent.

Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey will come to the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PC in North America on March 7, 2017. It will arrive in Europe on March 10, 2017.
