A major hallmark occurred in the Pokemon anime. That is, Ash Ketchum achieved one of his goals. On November 11, 2022 in Japan, Ash became the World Champion in the Pokemon World Coronation Series in Pokemon Ultimate Journeys: The Series.
The achievement happened during the Pokémon World Coronation Series. He faced Leon, the Pokemon Sword and Shield champion from Galar. His team was Pikachu, Dracovish, Dragonite, Gengar, Lucario, and Sirfetch’d. This happened in the 25th season of the anime. However, while people in Japan could see it now, there’s no worldwide release window for the episode yet.
Here’s the official Twitter account celebrating Ash becoming the world champion in the Pokemon anime.
