Armored Core 6 Update Will Add Ranked Matchmaking, New Parts, Maps

A new update is headed to Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, bringing with it new parts to customize your AC with, new PVP maps to do battle in, and ranked matchmaking,. The update is scheduled to release on December 19, 2023.

The focus of this update is the addition of PvP ranked matchmaking including leaderboards, which will be available in both the 1v1 and 3v3 modes of Armored Core 6. By competing in ranked matches, players will be able to earn cosmetic options to customize their nameplates. There will also be several new maps. The names of these were not listed but the trailer does show some shots of the Watchpoint where Balteus is fought and the Grid area where members of the Doser faction are encountered. New AC parts are also promised though what they will do and look like, as well as whether they will be earned through ranked gameplay, was not disclosed.

Earlier this month, From Software detailed the bonuses included in the physical edition of the Armoured Core 6 soundtrack, which is also available to stream on Spotify and Youtube. Back in November, we also saw the announcement of a Robot Spirits action figure of Ayre’s IB-07: Sol 644.

Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, with ranked matchmaking coming in Patch. 1.05 on December 19, 2023.
