Arlecchino makes use of the Bond of Life mechanic, which sacrifices her HP in order to increase her damage output. With such a niche skillset, it can be difficult to decide what weapons, Artifacts, and teammates work best with her. But worry not! Here’s everything you need to know about building Arlecchino.

Arlecchino Talent Priority (Moves and Skillset)

Arlecchino is a five-star Pyro Polearm DPS character. Her kit relies on a mechanic called Bond of Life, which was introduced in Fontaine. Bond of Life puts a healing restriction on her as she uses her abilities. This will eat any healing on a character until they have received enough healing to overcome it.

Most characters need to be healed until they can get rid of it, but Arlecchino cannot be healed by anyone other than herself while Bond of Life is active. This is a good thing because her kit uses this to her advantage.

Normal Attack (1st Priority)

  • When Arlecchino uses her Normal Attack while Bond of Life is active and has consumed 30 percent or more of her HP, all her attacks will be infused with Pyro.
  • She can obtain Bond of Life through her Elemental Skill, Elemental Burst, and by doing a charged attack with her signature weapon, Crimson Moon’s Semblance.
  • Because her Normal Attack is crucial to the rest of her abilities, we recommend leveling this skill up first.

Elemental Skill: E-Skill (3rd Priority)

This skill deals an AoE of Pyro damage and activates Blood-Debt Directive onto affected enemies, which lasts for 30 seconds. This will deal a little bit more Pyro damage. When Arlecchino uses a charged attack against enemies, the Blood-Debt Directives will be cleared, and she will gain a Bond of Life.

This skill is great for her to have, but because it’s mostly used to facilitate powering up her Normal Attack, her Elemental Skill should be given last priority when leveling up her skills.

Elemental Burst: Q-Skill (2nd Priority)

This move deals Pyro damage to nearby enemies, clears their Blood Debt Directives, clears her Elemental Skill’s cooldown, and heals her. We recommend leveling this one as your second priority after maxing out her Normal Attack first.

Passive Skills

  • When an enemy with Blood-Debt Directive is defeated, she gains a Bond of Life worth 130 percent of her HP.
  • If she absorbs a Blood-Debt Directive five or more seconds after it is applied, she gains a Bond of Life worth 130 percent of her HP.
  • For every 100 Attack above a 1000 Attack stat, she will gain one percent physical resistance to a maximum of 20 percent, or 2000 additional Attack.
  • She gains a 40 percent Pyro damage bonus.
  • She can only be healed through her Elemental Burst (Q-Skill).

Best Arlecchino Weapons in Genshin Impact

Here are the best weapons for Arlecchino:

Crimson Moon’s Semblance

Crimson Moon’s Semblance is Arlecchino’s signature weapon and, by far, her best polearm. It compliments her kit perfectly, giving her a Bond of Life for a single charged attack and allowing her to activate her Pyro infusion sooner. It also boosts her damage when Bond of Life is active. It’s also the only polearm so far that can apply Bond of Life to its wielder.

Staff of Homa

This polearm will help Arlecchino when she’s whittling down her own HP. When her HP is lower than half, her Attack stat will be boosted by one percent of her maximum HP. While it can’t grant her extra Bond of Life, Staff of Homa can capitalize off her lowered HP and give her more attacks for it.

Prototype Starglitter

Prototype Starglitter is the best four-star weapon for Arlecchino. After using her Elemental Skill, her Normal Attack and Charged Attack damage will be increased by eight percent. Her Elemental Skill already gives her a damage boost, so this polearm will help give her even more.

Best Arlecchino Artifacts in Genshin Impact

Here are the best Artifacts for Arlecchino:

Fragment of Harmonic Whimsy

  • 2-Piece: 18 % Attack boost.
  • 4-Piece: 18 % damage bonus when Bond of Life increases or decreases. You may receive up to three stacks of this.

Fragment of Harmonic Whimsy is the best Artifact for Arlecchino because it is the only set so far that can make use of Bond of Life. Of course, Arlecchino needs Bond of Life for all her skills, and this set lets her gain even more boosts off of that than she normally would.

Gladiator’s Finale

  • 2-Piece: 18 % Attack boost.
  • 4-Piece: 35 % Attack boost for sword, claymore, and polearm users.

If you don’t like playing around with Bond of Life more than you have to (or even if you don’t want to go through farming Fragment of Harmonic Whimsy), this is a pretty good alternative set for Arlecchino. It’s pretty simple and straightforward: it helps her attack enemies better.

Two-Piece Crimson Witch of Flames and Marachausee Hunter

  • Crimson Witch 2-Piece: 15 % Pyro Damage Bonus.
  • Marachausee Hunter 2-Piece: 15 % Normal and Charged Attack Bonus.

If you want to focus mainly on Arlecchino’s Normal Attack and the Pyro infusion she can receive from it, try these two two-pieces. Her Charged Attacks are pretty important to her kit, so you’ll be able to boost that and her Normal Attacks. Furthermore, when you do manage to trigger her Pyro infusion, that will receive a bonus too.

If you want to focus more on Normal Attack damage, the following two-pieces can give you and 18 percent Normal Attack bonus: Echoes of an Offering, Vermillion Hereafter, and Gladiator’s Finale.

Best Arlecchino Teams in Genshin Impact

Here are some good teammates for Arlecchino:

Off-Field DPS

Arlecchino works best when she is able to stay on field for a very long time. To help her create elemental reactions, you will need the help of some off-field damage dealers:

  • Xingqiu (Hydro)
  • Fischl (Electro)
  • Yae Miko (Electro)
  • Furina (Hydro)

Off-Field Buffers

Similar to off-field DPS characters, off-field buffers can help Arlecchino take down enemies more easily:

  • Furina (overall damage)
  • Bennett (Attack)

Shielders

If you’re worried about Arlecchino stealing her own HP and being the only one able to heal herself, bring a shielder with you to take the brunt of some of the damage.

  • Zhongli
  • Layla
  • Xinyan
  • Kirara
