In the late 90s Taito gave their Breakout clone an anime overhaul and the result is Puchi Carat. In the story mode you have a reason to hit gems with a bouncing ball. Collect the gems and your wish comes true. If a story based Arkanoid game interests you Puchi Carat is now on Japan’s PlayStation Store as one of this week’s four new PlayStation Archives. Also in the store are: Kouyasai – a dating sim by SE Mobile and Online, Fish Eyes – a fishing sim from Marvelous Entertainment, and the first game in Hudson’s Bomberman Land series. Each one costs 600 yen ($5.50) and like most PlayStation Archives works on your PSP or PS3.
This week there won’t be much complaining about missing out on additions to the PlayStation Classics.
