During the Monster Hunter: World Special Developer Update Capcom revealed Arch-Tempered Kulve Taroth and Nergigante are coming to Monster Hunter: World along with a new Appreciation Fest.
Here are highlights from the Special Developer Update featuring series executive producer Ryozo Tsujimoto:
Arch-Tempered Kulve Taroth
Kulve Taroth, the monster that previously appeared in limited-time events is coming back as a new Arch-Tempered form. The basic strategy is the same, where up to 16 players from the Hub can join together in groups of 4 each to take it on in the Kulve Taroth Siege.
As you work on repelling the Arch-Tempered Kulve Taroth, you’ll raise your pursuit and reward levels to earn appraisal weapons and other rewards. The main difference between this one and the regular Kulve Taroth is that the Arch-Tempered version can be pushed into a new “Furied” state by fulfilling certain conditions before it sheds its gold plating.
Completing the Siege under these conditions will give you a chance at some “incredible rewards.” However, keep in mind that while in this state it’ll unleash new, powerful attacks.
By meeting certain conditions during the Siege for Arch-Tempered Kulve Taroth, you might find rainbow items among your Siege rewards that are a grade more powerful than gold rewards, and may even include all-new appraisal weapons. The developers have prepared loads of new appraisal weapons for each weapon type, including a new γ (gamma) series of armor made from Arch-Tempered Kulve Taroth materials.
With the introduction of Arch-Tempered Kulve Taroth, the standard Kulve Taroth will no longer appear, but all of the previous rewards can be obtained from the new Arch-Tempered version. The Arch-Tempered Kulve Taroth Siege will be available from 4:00pm PST on December 19, 2018 until 3:59pm PST on January 3, 2019.
