CoeFont has announced that it will work with Aoni Production to release AI voices based on Japanese voice actors. This collaboration will let people apply AI voices based on the likes of Masako Nozawaāthe voice actress best known for her role as Dragon Ball‘s Gokuāto navigation and assistance systems.
Aoni Production will provide voices from ten of its renowned Japanese voice actors to start this AI collaboration. Besides Masako Nozawa, it also confirmed that Banjo Gingaāthe voice actor behind Gihren Zabi from Mobile Suit Gundamāwill be on the list as well. The agency will announce the remaining voice actors in the coming days.
The companies will allow the usage of these AI voices on navigation systems and voice assistants like Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. These voices will also support multiple languages other than Japanese, such as English and Chinese. Aoni Production will, however, strictly forbid these voices from being used as actual voiceovers for works like anime or movies.
