During the MAGES company strategy presentation live stream today, the company shared updated release date info for Anonymous;Code, which now has a Fall 2021 window in Japan for PS4 and Switch. The PS Vita version of the game was canceled.
First, check out the new teaser trailer that shows updated details for the release date and platforms for Anonymous;Code below:
As mentioned in our previous report about the new Steins;___ project, the Anonymous;Code trailer shows a glimpse of Amadeus Kurisu from Steins;Gate (for a split-second around the 0:47 mark of the video).
Earlier this year, in January, MAGES announced that Anonymous;Code would release next winter. The new window is essentially a delay from late 2020 or early 2021 to Fall 2021.
5pb/MAGES first announced Anonymous;Code in March 2015 for the PS4 and PS Vita with a 2017 release window. The Nintendo Switch version’s announcement came in May 2017 during the Chiyo-St. Live 2017 –Genesis- event. In September 2019, MAGES president Chiyomaru Shikura said he didn’t want the game coming out any later than the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. While the 2020 Summer Olympics have been pushed to July 2021, the game will likely come out sometime within the following months.
Anonymous;Code will release for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan in Fall 2021. Chiyomaru Shikura also mentioned that he wants to make a Science Adventure series crossover after Anonymous;Code.
