Firstly, you’ll be able to develop things like stairs and bridges that help you get across your island. When you’re island is fully decked-out, you’ll be able to access the Island Designer app on the NookPhone, which will allow you to do major construction work on the island itself.

Examples shown on the Direct include the ability to do land reclamation, open up rivers, make changes to cliffs, and more. Of course, you’ll also be able to make paths as well. These options allow players to freely customize their island to a great extent, and flex their creative muscles.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons will release for Nintendo Switch on March 20, 2020.
