As a new year dawns, Nintendo has shared more looks at what people can expect from Animal Crossing: New Horizons. A new commercial has appeared in both English and Japanese, showing Tom Nook and his nephews pitching the island lifestyle to potential inhabitants like Isabelle, Lolly, Marshall, and Stitches. There are also five more screenshots from the official website showing off different characters and the island during the four seasons. [Thanks, Japanese Nintendo!]
The screenshot of characters hives people a look at some fashion choices. All of the characters have the same sorts of noses. However, we see multiple eye types, a new pair of glasses, and different sorts of shirts and poses.
The first seasonal screenshot looks at the island in spring The trees are in full bloom! Both a player’s villager and Goldie are watering red, pink, white, yellow, and orange tulips. Daisy is wearing a long-sleeved dress, while typically animal outfits didn’t have sleeves. Different sorts of plants are on the ground in addition to flowers. Stitches is sitting in a wooden swing, a wooden table can be seen on the right, and a rainbow hammock is also featured.
The summer screenshot looks at a rainy day on the island. Both the blue-haired villager and Lily are fishing in the river. The avatar is wearing a raincoat with matching hat and galoshes. New sorts of flowers are along the riverside, and one appears to be cattails.
The fall screenshot shows a villager with a fancy green hairstyle bug hunting. Vesta is in the background sweeping near some mushrooms and a pile of leaves. Meanwhile, Kiki is wearing a long-sleeved shirt and glasses while reading a book under a tree. There are all sorts of decorative long-grasses about, fences have been put up, and a scarecrow is in the background. The trees are all sporting fall colors too.
In the winter-scene, Fauna and Freya are talking alongside a campfire. Both are wearing long-sleeved shirts. There’s a cabin behind them with a snowflake door, and both of the evergreen trees have snow and strings of colored lights on them. The villager here is sporting one of the new hairstyles and rolling up snowballs to make a snowperson.
These aren’t the only recent images to show off what people can expect from Animal Crossing: New Horizons. We first got to see an array of Latin American outfits and new facial features. After that, some renders highlighted hairstyles, clothing, and skin tones.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons will come to the Nintendo Switch worldwide on March 20, 2020.
