Animal Crossing: New Horizons Guidebook Includes a Special Furniture Design Catalog

An Animal Crossing: New Horizons guidebook will be available to purchase on December 19, 2020. A combination guidebook and design catalog, this book will include a list of furniture and clothing items. It will cost ¥1,650, or approximately $15, and can be purchased through retailers like Amazon Japan. In addition, international shipping is available for specific regions. However, the guidebook is currently only available in Japanese, with no word regarding a potential localization. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

The book will cover all basic island functions and applications. While it will include various tips and hints, it also has a special design catalog. This catalog lists all furniture by color, as opposed to type, making it easier to find items with matching color schemes for decorating purposes. You can take a look at pages from the Animal Crossing: New Horizons guidebook below.

The Animal Crossing: New Horizons guidebook will also include a fashion coordination guide. The layout is similar to those found in “look books” or fashion catalogs.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is immediately available for the Nintendo Switch. Other recent Animal Crossing merchandise includes a special line-up of “design it yourself” items from Ebiten. This collection, exclusive to Japan, allows consumers to create their very own Animal Crossing t-shirts, sweaters, and accessories.
