Among Us Switch Update Adds New Crewmate and Imposter Roles

At the Nintendo Direct for Summer, 2024, developer Innersloth announced a new update for social deduction game Among Us with new Imposter and Crewmate roles. The update is set to bring the updates later today for Nintendo Switch and other platforms.

Along with the announcement during the Nintendo Direct, a trailer with animated segments also appeared on the Nintendo of America Youtube channel. The new roles include the Noisemaker Crewmate, who alerts others when they are killed, the Tracker who appears able to track a crewmate on their map, and the Phantom Imposter who can turn invisible for daring getaways.

Other announcements at the Nintendo Direct included a new Fairy Tail game covering the manga’s Alvarez arc, and a Nintendo Switch port will also soon free Fantasian from its confinement to the Apple Arcade. We will also in the future eventually see an Among Us TV show that will feature people like Patton Oswald in the roles of different Crewmates.

The New Roles update for Among Us will launch later today on June 18, 2024, for Nintendo Switch and other platforms. The game itself immediately available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices.
