Altogether, Namco Bandai Shipped Over 16 Million Tales Games

Namco Bandai talked a bit about the Tales of series as a whole after announcing Tales of Zestiria, the next main installment in the long running RPG series. Tales games are sold in over 100 countries and altogether the series shipped more than 16,000,000 units worldwide since the series began in 1995 with Tales of Phantasia.

Tales of Xillia, the most recent game released in the West, shipped over 1,000,000 copies. Next up is Tales of Symphonia Chronicles which comes out in February 2014 and then Tales of Xillia 2. Tales of Zestiria for PlayStation 3 is a 20th anniversary title for the Tales of series.
