All New and Upcoming Characters in Wuthering Waves

Developers of free-to-play games often implement a gacha system to generate funds for their games. Kuro Games is no different. With their popular mobile game, Wuthering Waves, Kuro Games includes a gacha system under the guise of the Convene. Convene Events are used to obtain new weapons and characters in Wuthering Waves. However, some of these Convenes are only available for a limited time. As some players would like to know when Convenes occur, here is a list of previous, current, and upcoming character Convenes in Wuthering Waves.

Previous Limited Characters

Since the official release date of Wuthering Waves, Kuro Games have added new characters via Convene Events. However, as these events were limited, some characters are no longer able to be summoned from these events:

• Prevail the Lasting Night | Jiyan | May 23 – June 12, 2024
• When Thunder Pour | Yinlin | June 6 – June 26, 2024
• Thawborn Renewal | Jinshi | June 28 – July 22, 2024
• Vermillion’s Play | Changli | July 22 – August 14, 2024

All New Characters

As part of Wuthering Waves 1.2, two new characters are prominently featured for players to summon. Xiangli Yao and Zhezhi are featured through two separate Convene Events.

• Zhezhi – A 5-Star Resonator featured in the Chromatic Prose Convene from August 15 – September – 7, 2024.
• Xiangli Yao – A 5-Star Resonator set to be featured in the Celestial Revelation Convene from September 7 – September 28, 2024.

During the By Moon’s Grace event, players can also acquire Xiangli Yao for free. To get Xiangli Yao, you must reach Union Level 17 and complete “Ominous Star”; Main Quest Chapter 1 Act 3. You must have a certain level of Popularity as well. However, players will not have a chance to acquire the free Resonator until the Moon-Chasing Festival Featured Event.

All Upcoming Characters

In a future update, Kuro Games will add The Shorekeeper and Youhu with Wuthering Waves 1.3. While there is no official date, Kuro Games has given Wuthering Waves players a glimpse at these upcoming Resonators.

• Youhu – A 4-Star Resonator
• The Shorekeeper – A 5-Star Resonator

Wuthering Waves is available for Android, iOS, and PC with a PlayStation 5 release at a later date.
