Expedition Intel is incredibly important in FF7 Rebirth, as it reveals Classified Fiend Intel on your map. This guide will break down where you can find all Grasslands Expedition Intel in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
Where to find all Grasslands Expedition Intel locations in FF7 Rebirth
There are a total of six Grasslands Expedition Intel in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. The way the Chadley sidequest works, is you have to discover a pool of glowing crystals. The World Intel is then completed after Cloud scans the rock formations by pressing the Triangle button at the right time when the rings on the scanning screen overlap.
The trickiest part about Expedition Intel is just finding the Lifesprings. Some of them can be a bit tricky to track down, as they are sometimes tucked away in cave’s, or blocked off. Fortunately, we have already mapped out where each Lifespring can be found. You can find all Grasslands Expedition Intel in FF7 Rebirth on the map below:
All Grasslands Lifespring locations in FF7 Rebirth
Now that you have a rough idea of where every Expedition Intel is located, we are going to break down how to find all Grasslands Lifespring in FF7 Rebirth. Most of the Lifesprings can be accessed on foot. However, one of them requires you to unlock the Chocobo Mount.
Cragshade Lifespring location
The Grasslands Expedition Intel 1 is pretty easy to track down, as it’s not that far from Bill’s Chocobo’s ranch. Simply head north from the farm, and you can find the Lifespring on flat ground. You can reach this one on foot, or by Chocobo if you’ve already unlocked it.
Wetlands Lifespring location
To reach Grasslands Expedition Intel 2, you will need to climb up a mountain that is directly next to the Wetlands swamp west of the map. You will know you are in the right place when you see a set of yellow-painted rocks on the side of a rocky cliff. Interact with the yellow spots and have Cloud climb them until he reaches the Lifespring.
Morass Lifespring location
Grasslands Expedition Intel 3 is the trickiest to find in FF7 Rebirth Chapter 2, as it requires you to do a bit of platforming. You will need to first obtain the Chocobo Mount as you need to cross a section of the Wetlands swamp area. You will know you are in the right spot when you see a set of rusted stairs next to a giant circular concrete building.
After climbing the rusted stairs, you will see a square building. However, you aren’t done climbing yet. Look for another set of rusted stairs that wrap around the building and walk up them until you reach the very top of the structure. While on the roof, head north and look for a broken-up rail. Walk between the rails and hop off the cliff edge. Dropping down here will put you right on top of the Lifespring.
Grasswastes Lifespring location
The Grasslands Expedition Intel 4 is easily reachable as you can walk there on foot. The Lifespring is located on a slanted hill. Use the location on the map above and find a sloped path that leads up to the side of the mountain. You should also see a bird flying around in this area, which will lead you directly to it if you need help.
Mako Pipeline Lifespring location
You can reach Grasslands Expedition Intel 5 by running under the giant Shinra Mako pipe. From the dirt road, look for the rusted pipe and run underneath it. Keep hiking up the hill, and you will eventually find the Lifespring tucked between rocks in the dust-filled area.
Cavern Lifespring location
Finally, Grasslands Expedition Intel 6 is actually close nearby to the Intel 5. Continue heading east on the map from the previous area and walk around the second Shinra Mako pipe. The final Grasslands Lifespring is tucked away in a corner between a dark cavernous area in the wall.
After completing 4 of the Grasslands Intel in any order, you will be able to obtain the FF7 Rebirth Quetzalcoatl Talon item needed to craft a Windmill Spring. You can complete the research in any order. Once you scan your fourth Lifespring, Chadley will mark the Quetzalcoatl boss fight on your map.
