A new update for WoW is nearly upon us, bringing with it new content and questlines as well as the brand new Siren Isle area to explore. But also on the way are balance changes to how each class will perform in both PvE (Players versus Environment) and PvP (Player versus Player) content, so here’s a quick run down on both to get you ready for Siren Isle and the World of Warcraft 11.0.7 update.
All PvE Class Changes coming in WoW Patch 11.0.7
To the relief of many, nearly all the class changes coming to WoW in 11.0.7 will be buffs to various classes. Most focus on damage, with some dramatically increasing the importance of some abilities that were lagging behind.
- Unholy Death Knights are getting small damage buffs of around 8-10% across a slew of abilities like Scourge Strike, Clawing Shadows, Vampiric Strike, and Death Coil. Scourge Strike will also get another 10% bonus damage from Procs of Rotten Touch, while your Apocalypse ghoul will be hitting a fair deal harder as well.
- Demon Hunters of both specializations will be getting a small nudge to damage from The Hunt and Felblade abilities, while Havoc players will be seeing the same buff to abilities like Demon’s Bite and Chaos Strike.
- Devastation Evokers will be getting a flat 4% damage increase, with an extra 20% added to damage from their Pyre spell.
- The upcoming Hunter changes focus on the Dark Ranger Hero talent tree, boosting the power of the Bleak Powder ability by 40% for Beast Mastery players and a whopping 65% for Marksmanship players. The latter will also see decent sized buffs to Black Arrow and Shadow Surge, as well as non-hero talent abilities like Trick Shot and Razor Fragments.
- Holy Paladins will be seeing an increase to damage from their Consecrate ability, a bigger absorb shield via Saved by the Light, and damage done will be converted into healing at a better rate via the Veneration skill. Those using the Lightsmith Hero talent will also see their Tempered in Battle healing no longer activate while either they or their target are under certain crowd control effects.
- Holy Priests also get a nice simple buff of around 15% to both Flash Heal and Holy Fire.
- Restoration Shamans using the Totemic Hero talent will see a sizable mana cost decrease to their Surging Totem.
- Finally, Affliction Warlocks will be seeing big buffs to their damage including a 75% increase to Haunt and 25% increases to Oblivion and Perpetual Unstability, while other abilities like Xavius’ Gambit and Siphon Life will also increase certain Damage-over-time effects.
All PvP Class Changes coming in WoW Patch 11.0.7
While the PvP Class changes include a few nerfs and reductions, the vast majority are buffs to underperforming abilities and specs.
- Death Knights of both Frost and Blood persuasions will see a 20% damage increase to some of their big Deathbringer abilities like Reaper’s Mark.
- Balance Druids will see a decent buff to the Lunar Calling spell, while Restoration players are receiving a flat 5% healing buff in PvP which should make for some happy little trees.
- Augmentation Evokers will see one of the rare nerfs this patch, as Deep Breath gets a 15% damage reduction and Molten Embers sees its effectiveness halved.
- Mages using the Sunfury Hero talent tree will see Burden of Power now boosts the damage of Pyroblast and Arcane Blast by an extra 20%.
- Monks will see one of the larger changes this patch, though nothing truly game-chaning. The archetypal move of the Conduit of the Celestials Hero talent tree will see a big 50% boost to its healing output, but Windwalker sees the damage of Fists of Fury increased while Blackout Kick gets its output decreased. Touch of Karma’s absorb shield is reduced by about 30%, but Shado Pan will see an increase to their Flurry Strike Damage via the Wisdom of the Wall talent.
- Voidweaver Discipline Priests will also get a short but sweet buff in the form of more absorbtion from Power Word: Shield, thanks to the Inner Quietus talent.
- The Stormbringer Elemental Shaman‘s Tempest ability will see a small buff in PvP, while Restoration players can expect an increae in healing from Riptide and Healing Surge.
- Meanwhile, Destruction Warlocks are getting an increase to the damage of Chaos Bolt and Immolate, though the Hellcaller Hero talent’s Wither ability gets a damage decrease.
- Finally, Arms Warriors are receiving buffs to both Overpower and Rend, while Fury players using the Mountain Thane Hero talents can look forward to a boost to the damage of Bloodthirst and Rampage via the Strength of the Mountain talent.
