Alan Wake 2 New Trailer, Gameplay Appears at Xbox Partner Preview

A new trailer for Alan Wake 2 appeared at the Xbox Partner Preview presentation ahead of the game’s October 27, 2023 launch. Additionally, five minutes of new gameplay footage debuted.

The new trailer is roughly two minutes long, and it showcases FBI agent Saga Anderson in her investigation into the mystery of the ritualistic murders happening in the town of Bright Falls, Washington, as well as Alan Wake’s escape from the Dark Place.

Meanwhile, the new gameplay footage is approximately 5 minutes long. It focuses on Saga, and showcases the new survival horror elements of the sequel, with Saga exploring inside a dark house, and confronting grotesque looking enemies.

Check out the new Alan Wake 2 trailer below. It starts at 22:49, while the new Saga gameplay segment appears after the trailer, at 24:38.

The new gameplay section also showed Saga using a mechanic similar to the emergency items that appear in the Resident Evil remakes. The gameplay footage concludes with Saga solving a puzzle involving one of the iconic Alan Wake songs.

Alan Wake 2 will come out on October 27, 2023 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC.
