At Aksys’ MomoCon 2016 panel, the company confirmed it will be bringing the next BlazBlue game to North America. BlazBlue: Central Fiction will come to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in winter 2016.
Many new characters and features appear in BlazBlue: Central Fiction. There are 33 fighters total, with Nine, also known as Konoe A. Mercury, XBlaze’s Es, Hibiki Kohaku, Naoto Kurogane, BlazBlue: Bloodedge Experience’s Naoto Kurogane, and Izanami playable for the first time. An Active Flow mechanic kicks in to boost damage and Burst Gauge recovery when you play aggressively. There’s also an Exceed Accel Distortion Drive, that increases damage during an Overdrive, while also ending it. The game also continues the storyline, adds an Alliance Mode where teams are constructed, and offers a Speed Star time attack mode. There will also be an Item Shop where in-game cash can be spent on additional items.
BlazBlue: Central Fiction will be released in Japan in fall 2016.
