Cameroon-based studio Kiro’o Tales has launched the Kickstarter for its upcoming African-fantasy action-RPG Aurion: Legacy of the Kori-Odan.
The studio is seeking €40,000 in order to finish up development of the game for Windows. If the Kickstarter is successful then the game should be released around April 2016. Reaching stretch goals could see the game also heading to Mac and Linux.
Aurion: Legacy of the Kori-Odan brings African magic and mythology to life as a hand-drawn action-RPG. It has you playing as Enzo Kori-Odan, Prince of Zama, and his wife Erine Evou as they rally support from the planet of Auriona to reclaim their thrones after being overthrown by Erine’s brother.
On this journey, Enzo and Erine face many battles against soldiers and larger beasts from African myth. Luckily, they possess a special energy known as Aurionics that grants them increased power. The battles are played in real-time like a 2D brawler.
