Forgotten Key recently announced that Daedalic Entertainment would be publishing its game Aer for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2016.

Once you get a look at its low-poly sky islands you can see why. Aer has you playing as a girl in a colorful world who can transform into a bird at will.

It’s a game that focuses on beauty and exploration first and foremost. Not that there’s nothing to do: you’ll be seeking nomads and ancient secrets across the floating islands that lead you ever closer to the end of the world.

“Ultimately, you will challenge the Gods and save reality itself,” writes Forgotten Key. So, while it may have an idealized and peaceful look, this is a world at the edge of its life and one that you’ll have to fight to save.
