Acheron in Honkai: Star Rail Is Strong Even Without Good Light Cones or Relics

Acheron in Honkai: Star Rail is an amazing DPS unit if you have the right Light Cones and Relics, as well as the right teams. She works the best with Nihility units due to her kit, as well as her This Abyss Trace.

In order to figure out the best build for Acheron, you will need to first understand the basics of her kit. Fortunately, she’s not too hard to use. Unlike other characters, Acheron’s Ultimate depends on how many Slashed Dream stacks she and her team can apply onto the enemies. Every time you debuff an enemy, they gain a Slashed Dream stack. The crux of Acheron’s damage comes from her Ultimate. Unlike recent 5-star Nihility characters that appeared in Honkai: Star Rail (Kafka and Black Swan), you’ll want to have Light Cones and Relics that give Acheron plenty of Crit DMG. She is not a DoT fighter, though she works well with DoT characters.

Here are the Best Light Cones for Acheron in Honkai: Star Rail

  • Along the Passing Shore
Acheron’s signature Light Cone is her best one. It increases her Crit DMG, as well as the DMG from her Ultimate. She also deals extra DMG against enemies with Miracle Fizzle, and she can inflict this every time she hits a target. Though not flashy or fancy compared to some other signature Light Cones, it works well with her kit.
  • Patience Is All You Need
Kafka’s signature Light Cone is also really good for Acheron if you have this and don’t have Kafka. It increases her DMG and SPD, as well as can inflict Erode onto a target. Erode is an extra debuff that can help Acheron to gain an extra stack if she hits an enemy that doesn’t have Erode already. The downside is that, as a limited 5-star Light Cone, it has limited availability. Most people who have this probably already have Kafka too, and this Light Cone works far better on her.
  • In the Name of the World
This Light Cone not only works as a stat stick, but it’s also a great F2P choice due to its effect. It increases how much damage Acheron does to debuffed enemies, as well as increases her ATK after she uses her Skill. If you don’t have her Signature, this is my personal recommendation for the next best thing. It’s also available in the Starlight Exchange store, which means that you don’t have to bother trying for it in the gacha.
  • Good Night and Sleep Well
Good Night and Sleep Well is one of the best 4-star Light Cones for any Nihility character. This increases how much DMG Acheron does against an enemy depending on how many debuffs they have. Since Acheron works the best with two Nihility characters (unless you have her E2, then she can get away with one), the enemies will likely have a variety of debuffs on them, which will let Acheron get the most out of its DMG bonus.
  • Resolution Shines as Pearls of Sweat
This is similar to Patience Is All You Need in that it imparts an extra debuff onto the enemy if they don’t already have the debuff. In this case, it’s Ensnared. Ensnared lowers the enemy DEF, which lets Acheron deal more damage. It also provides an extra stack in the same way that Erode does.

Here are the Best Relics for Acheron

  • 4-pc Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters
This Relic Set is the best for Acheron because it increases how much DMG she does against enemies with debuffs. The 4-pc set also increases her Crit Rate, as well as her Crit DMG against debuffed enemies.
  • 2-pc Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters, 2-pc Band of Sizzling Thunder
Because this set is relatively new (as of her debut), you may not have enough good Pioneer pieces for a full set. In that case, you can mix it with Band of Sizzling Thunder, which will increase how much Lightning DMG she does.
  • 2-pc Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters, 2-pc Musketeer of Wild Wheat
For the same reason above, you can mix Pioneer with Musketeer of Wild Wheat. Musketeer increases her ATK. However, this is not going to be as good a substitute as Band of Sizzling Thunder unless you really lucked out with your Musketeer pieces.
  • Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm
Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm increases Acheron’s ATK, as well as her Crit Rate depending on how many people share her Path. Because you have to play Acheron with either one or two other Nihility characters to get the most out of her kit, she’ll naturally always be able to enjoy a higher Crit Rate. This in turn frees up your Relics for her Crit DMG or other stats.
  • Sigonia’s Gaiathra Berth
Sigonia’s Gaiathra Berth is only good if you know you’ll be using Acheron in situations where she has lots of enemies to take down. While it increases her Crit Rate passively, it also increases her Crit DMG every time she defeats an enemy. This might be a good Planar Ornament Set if you’re going to use Acheron in challenges like Pure Fiction.
  • Firmament Frontline Glamoth
Firmament Frontline Glamoth is a great set for Nihility units. It increases Acheron’s ATK, as well as lets her deal more DMG depending on her SPD. The faster your Nihility unit is, the more times they can inflict their debuffs, so you naturally should have at least 135 SPD on Acheron anyway.
  • Inert Salsotto
Because the bulk of Acheron’s utility comes from her Ultimate, Inert Salsotto is a good choice for her if you don’t have any of the other Planar Ornaments. It increases her Crit Rate, as well as her Ultimate DMG if she has 50% Crit Rate at the very least.

Honkai: Star Rail is readily available on the PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices. You will only be able to pull for Acheron in Honkai: Star Rail when the “Words of Yore” banner is live.
